If you click on the link below, you can download the directions for the Explorer Postage Stamp Cover, along with a sample and the blank template to use. All of the documents are in Microsoft Powerpoint, so if you wish to do it on the computer, you can simply copy and paste pictures into the last page of the document, use different fonts and word art/shapes to create your stamp, and make sure that it fits inside the template.
If you do not want to do the stamp on the computer, you can simply print out the document in full pages and use the template to draw your stamp, or to print out pictures and glue them onto the template page in a collage.
Hello 5-234! I am so excited to meet each and every one of you on September 9th. On this website you will find lots of useful information that we will be referencing throughout the school year. If you forget your agenda or homework, no problem! It will be posted on here. Can’t remember what the upcoming Spirit Day theme is? You can find it on here as well. As 5th graders, there are tons of important senior responsibilities and activities to keep track of. You will be able to find information about them on this website as well throughout the school year.
I hope you are all enjoying your summer. I’ve been going to the beach a lot, and getting our classroom ready for the upcoming school year. I just finished reading an amazing book, Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt. I just bought it, along with a bunch of new books for our classroom library. Right now, I’m starting to read Beholding Bee by Kimberly Newton Fusco. We’ll be sharing book recommendations all year long, so be sure to keep up the reading this summer! If you have read something you really loved, don’t be afraid to share it with me when we meet in September. I’m always looking for new book recommendations, too! I’ll list some of my favorite books below if you need something new to read this summer. If you click on the book cover, it will take you directly to the link in the Amazon.com store. Of course, all of the books below will be in our classroom library for you to read this year.
Can’t wait to meet you all soon and hear all about your summer break!
